So, you’ve downloaded Microsoft Power BI, and you’re staring at a blank screen. Don't panic! You don't need to be a data scientist to build your first report. In fact, you can go from "Zero to Hero" in just 30 minutes.

Follow this simple 3-step sprint to jumpstart your data journey:

Minutes 1-10: The "Handshake" (Get Data)

Before you can build anything, Power BI needs something to look at. Click the "Get Data" button at the top.

• Pro Tip: Start with an Excel file (like a simple sales list or your monthly expenses).
• Power BI will show you a preview. If it looks good, click Load. You’ve just introduced your data to its new home!

Minutes 11-20: The "Clean Up" (Power Query)

Data is like a messy room—it’s hard to find anything until you tidy up. Open “Transform Data” to begin working in the Power Query Editor.

• Here, you can remove empty rows, rename columns (e.g., change "Col_1" to "Product Name"), and make sure dates actually look like dates.
